This is a fake poster for a fake movie, based on the game Halo: Reach (which is currently in Production by Bungie Studios). It's development page can be found here: [link]
All cast names (with the exception of Ed Harris) were used with permission by the persons themselves and are actual friends of mine.
Time frame: 4 hours, 55 minutes in Photoshop CS3. __________________________________________________________
First and foremost, a big ole thank you goes out to my girlfriend, Matisse Ventura for the encouraging comments during the creative process. Second, a big thank you to Ben Resnick and Tex, who inspired this poster with their new storyline in the Gaia Online based role play guild, Halo: The RP ([link]). Third, a grateful thank you to all my watchers and fans who have waited diligently for me to [finally] produce some quality stuff.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it. It's mostly eye-candy, I guess, but I thought that the wallpaper Bungie put up would make the perfect picture for a movie poster. Well, voila!
Please enjoy it; I know I enjoyed making it.
2.21.2010: I went ahead and touched up the saturation of the image, as well as adding some more dynamic lighting to really make it pop. I also changed the hue from a boring chrome to a slightly more enthralling golden color. I also added a couple lines of text, edited the B.Net portion beneath the "Coming Soon", and spaced everything a little more proportionately. It's all minor changes that I'm sure you wouldn't really notice, but I'm a stickler for the details.
I really do like this. I'd have done something a lot similar, and I really wanted to add some good tag-lines or something to my own work, but I ended up cramming too much into mine haha.
All in all, great job.
FYI, James Cameron for the win.
Tuure, you can be the mysterious Lieutenant, the player character.
